Bushn – Helen M., 101, Geistown, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2016 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born on April 5, 1914 in Barnesboro, PA, daughter of Leon and Mary (Babiak) Skupien. Preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Eric Bushn; brothers, Joseph, Frank, and Louis; sister, Frances Gisler; and nephew, Richard Gisler.She is survived by her son, George L., married to the former Janet E. Chisdak, Lakeland, FL; grandson, Gregory S., married to the former Tricia Tragemann, Lakeland, FL; great granddaughters, Erica and Sarah Bushn, Lakeland, FL; and the following nieces and nephews, Barbara (Mike) Warmus, Nanty Glo, Dennis (Dollie) Gisler, Geistown, Jim (Colleen) Gisler, Lewes, DE, Susan Gisler, widow of Richard Gisler, Pittsburgh, Judy Tulner, Daytona Beach, FL, Susan Bell and Patricia Sheahan, Chicago, IL, and many great nieces and nephews. Helen was a waitress at various restaurants in New York City for 50 years. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church for 35 years. Helen enjoyed cooking and baking and will be remembered for her outstanding cheesecake, poppy seed and nut rolls. She was a caring and loving woman who will be greatly missed by family and friends. At Helen’s request there will be no public viewing. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Saint Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, celebrant. The family would like to thank the Sisters and staff of John Paul II Manor, Cresson for their loving care of Helen. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
