Helen R. Boyer

Boyer, Helen R., 91, of Richland. Went to be with the Lord on Sept. 24, 2016, at the Church of the Brethren Home. Born Dec. 6, 1924, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Dwight and Helen (Gleissner) Mowery. Also preceded in death by husband, Leroy H. Boyer; sons, Douglas and Brad Boyer; siblings, Charlie, Bob, Dorothy Rager and Elsie Garshnick. Survived by children; Dennis, Orlando, FL., Sandy, wife of John Wonderly, Nampa, ID, and Craig, married to the former Denise Keytack, Johnstown; grandchildren, Bridgette, Brody, Jen, Michael, Julie, Brad Jr., Korey, Kylie, and Karlynn; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Dwight Mowery and Margaret Wirick. Member of Second Brethren Church where she served as a Deaconess and as the church florist. Helen enjoyed gardening, painting, poetry and the outdoors, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends received 6-8 PM Thursday and from 1 PM to time of service at 2 PM Friday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Pastor Benjamin Zylka. Entombment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
