Gregory A. Owens Sr.

Owens – Gregory A., “Buck”, 53, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2017 at his residence. Born on August 26, 1963 in Johnstown, son of John F. and Rita M. (Gallagher) Owens. Preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Catherine M. Lovejoy, Joanne M. Owens, and Patricia A. Owens. He is survived by his loving children, Gregory A. Owens Jr., and his companion, Amanda L. Grove, both of Ferndale, and Jayna M. Owens, Westmont; siblings, Denise M. Owens, East Conemaugh Borough, Rita M. (Ray) Wilson, Johnstown, Shirley A. (Jim) Louchart, Mineral Point, PA, John F. (Bert) Owens Jr., and Thomas L. (Mindy) Owens, all of Johnstown; several nieces, nephews, including special nephew, who was like a brother to Greg, John Paul Owens, East Conemaugh Borough; great nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly; brothers-in-law, Jim Lovejoy, and Alex Lermineau; special women, Lori L. Gailey, Reading, PA, and Amy L. Lavely, Westmont, and many other friends. Buck was employed at Steve’s Auto Body and Repair in East Conemaugh Borough for several years as an auto body repairman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wrestling, and taking care of Franklin Ball Field. Buck loved life, working on cars, and visiting friends at local bars, but most of all spending time with his family. At Buck’s request, there will be no public viewing. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, Fr. Robert C. Hall.
