Grace (Hummel) Zimmerman

ZIMMERMAN – Grace (Hummel), 90, Franklin, Ohio, formerly of Johnstown, passed away January 5, 2022, at home in Ohio. Born October 7, 1931, in Johnstown, daughter of Harry and Eva (Paul) Harbaugh. Preceded in death by parents, first husband Frank Hummel in 1983, and second husband, Robert Zimmerman in 2010. Also predeceased by brothers Charles, Elwood, and Harry Harbaugh, Jr., and sisters Catherine Slagle, Phyllis Ryan, Shirley Harbaugh, and grandson Matthew Onkst. Survived by brother Rayford, Cleveland, Ohio, and these children: Dan L. Hummel (Vanessa), Clearwater, FL; Don R. Hummel (Liz), Johnstown; and Cindy Zemet (Jim), Franklin, Ohio. Also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Grace was a homemaker, but also worked part-time for years at Cover’s Studio, the Hello Shop in the Richland Mall, and Glosser Brothers Department Store. Grace enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Former member of the Oakland United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held beginning at 11 am until time of service at Noon on Saturday Jan. 8, at the Chapel at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Interment at Richland Cemetery.
