Grace V. Ashbrook

Ashbrook, Grace V., “Nanny”, 92, of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2013 at Golden Living Center. She was born on December 14, 1920 in Central City, PA. Daughter of Ira and Florence (Spangler) Ellenberger-Rager. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Walter M. Ashbrook; brothers, Clarence and Chester and sisters, Gladys Ellenberger, Audrey Teeter and Elizabeth Klesyk. She is survived by her loving daughters, Rebecca J., wife of Donald Borchers, Georgetown, KY and Linda J., wife of Bradley Cullen, Johnstown; grandchildren, Eric (Amanda) Borchers, and Greta (Brad) Mills, Kimberly (Wayne) Tilley, and Kristy Casciotti; great grandchildren, Mollie, Sadie and Mason Borchers, Sarah, Rachel, Brandon and Alie Mills, Hannah and Luke Tilley, and Jerrad and Olyvia Casciotti and several nieces and nephews. Grace was employed at Miracle Mart as a sales person. She was a member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Grace enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and reading the Bible. She most of all loved spending time with her entire family and was a second mother to many. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Thursday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Gary L. Tustin officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, 3429 Elton Road, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Grace.
