Gloria A. Tompkins

Tompkins – Gloria A., 87, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at home. Born on January 19, 1937 in Lloydsdale, daughter of Samuel and Anna (Selepack) DeFrank. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Samuel DeFrank Jr., sister, Michelle Poborski and brother-in-law, Jack Tibbens. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bernard G. Tompkins; son, Randy; daughters, Trish (Brian) Deitke, Tire Hill; Lisa (Carl) LeBlond, New Florence; Bubba to special grandson, Ryder and Grandma Bubba to granddaughter, Madelynn. Sister of Joann Tibbens (Jim Patterson), St. Michael; Darlene Carey (Frank). Also survived by nephew, Kevin Tibbens and sister-in-law, Joann DeFrank and other nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where she could always be found at Saturday evening Mass in the front pew. Gloria retired from Bestform Foundations after many years of service. She loved to bake and enjoyed giving away her no bake cookies to anyone who needed a pick me up. Gloria was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and Bubba who will be forever loved and deeply missed. “Love you more.” The family is eternally grateful to the staff of Windber Hospice for their kind and caring support. Funeral Mass will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private Entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum.
