Gloria M. Scarpino

Scarpino, Gloria M., 87, formerly of Richland.  Died July 31, 2015, at Conemaugh Medical Center.  Born Jan. 25, 1928, in Pitcairn, PA.  Daughter of the late Charles E. and Mildred M. (Harshberger) Henry. Preceded in death by infant children, William and Pamela; infant grandchildren, Brandon and Keith Mock; sister, Olive Lee Gilliand; and brother, Charles E. Henry.  Survived by husband, Eugene U. Scarpino; son, Christopher Scarpino, Cambridge, MA; and daughter, Mary E., wife of Cameron Mock, Davidsville, PA.  Grandchildren, Kevin A. Mock, Indianapolis, IN, Eric R. Mock, Baltimore, MD, and Emery S. Mock, Pittsburgh, PA.  Also, numerous nieces and nephews.  Former member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown.  Formerly employed by Westinghouse Corporation and Greater Johnstown Vocational Technical School, Richland, as a secretary.  Gloria touched many lives of the students as the secretary at Vo-Tech.  During her time at Laurel View Village, she enjoyed shopping trips, bird watching, and reading.  Gloria was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Friends received 4-7 PM Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Laurel View Village Chapel.
