Gloria A. (Kovach) Gleason

GLEASON---Gloria (Kovach), 89, Mineral Point, passed away on December 14, 2023. Born March 21, 1934, in Windber, daughter of George and Julia (Podrasky) Kovach. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James R. Gleason Sr., who died in 1982; infant son, David; son, Walter Gleason; daughter, Sherrie Gleason and daughter-in-law, Kim Gleason. Survived by children, James R. Gleason Jr., Woodvale; Paul Gleason and wife, Danielle, Geistown; Richard Gleason and wife Gretchen (Freiwald), East Taylor Township; grandchildren, John Zellam III, David Gleason, Hunter Gleason and Chase Gleason. Sister of Dolores Kovach, Missouri. Gloria worked at Bestform and Rebekah Manor for many years. She was also a housekeeper and caretaker for over 40 years at Assumption Church and Church of the Transfiguration. She also assisted with altar preparation at the churches. At Gloria’s request, there will be no viewing or visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Transfiguration, with Fr. Robert C. Hall.
