Glenn L. Hastings, Jr.

Hastings, Glenn L., Jr., 85, of Richland. Died Oct. 27, 2016, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Jan. 31, 1931, in Lock Haven, PA. Son of the late Glenn L. and Adaline (Yost) Hastings. Also preceded in death by wife, Theresa Pauline “Ginny” (Grove); son Jerry D. Hastings; and great granddaughter, Freya Jean Weir. Survived by son Gary L., married to Shirley (Wallace), New Florence; grandchildren, Allison and husband, Stephen Weir; Greg and wife, Alicia Hastings; and great granddaughter, Sawyer Jean Weir. Brother of Mildred “Jackie” Altemus, CA; Harriet Schmid, Davidsville, PA; and Mary Lou Anderson. Glenn was a 1949 graduate of Johnstown High School and served with the 3rd Army Division during the Korean War. A retired supervisor from Florence Mining Company. A member of Bethany United Methodist Church and Post 5859, VFW. Glenn enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the house fixing most anything. Friends received 1-4 and 5-7 PM Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where service will be held at 10 AM Monday. Rev. Jeffery Bassette, officiating.
