MALZI----James E. “Jim,” and Geraldine “Gerri” (Anderko), 88 and 86, Bon Air, died on November 14, 2020 and November 17, 2020 respectively in Johnstown. Born October 28, 1932 and March 20, 1934. Preceded in death by parents; brothers and sisters, William Malzi, Geraldine “Gerry” McDonough and Leo Malzi; Barbara Turner and Janet Cummings. Survived by children, Mark (Laura) Malzi, Kent (Laurie) Malzi, Michele (Brad) Baker and James (JoAnne) Malzi; grandchildren, Lindsey (Brian) McKendree, Kent (Danielle) Malzi, James R. Malzi, Dallas (Nikki) Malzi, Dereck (Lindsay) Malzi, Shelby Baker and Brady Baker; great-grandson, Connor Malzi. Brothers, John (Naomi) Stohon and Chris (Bobbe) Stohon. Also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jim was a school business administrator and Gerri worked in local grocery stores for many years. Jim enjoyed spending time at his camp where he hunted and relaxed. Gerri spent a great deal of time working in parish ministry at St. Barnabas Church. She was a eucharistic minister and also worked with BINGO and food preparation there. Members of SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church parish. Jim and Gerri loved their children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David S. Peles. Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church parish in honor of Jim and Gerri Malzi.
