RIDENOUR – Gerald, “Jerry,” 81, Lorain Borough, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center due to complications from COVID-19. Born on October 19, 1939 in Indiana County PA, son of William Ridenour and Pearl Galentine-Best and Step-Father Floyd Best. Preceded in death by Father, Mother, Step-Father, Brother Bill Ridenour, Sister Rayline Brandon, Brother Billy Ray Best, numerous aunts, uncles and his beloved 4-legged companion Bella. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Norma (Ravenscraft) Ridenour; son Gerald Ridenour Jr and wife Annette (Smith); daughter, Traci Ridenour; Brother Raymond Phillips and wife Deborah; several nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law. Gerald was a 1958 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He was a US 82nd Airborne Army Veteran serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Gerald retired from Beneficial Financial after 25 years of service as a Loan Manager. After he retired, he opened America First Consumer Discount Company with his brother, Raymond. He enjoyed talking and being around people. Gerald loved going to Military Air Shows and museums with his son when he was able and sharing his Airborne stories. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and daughter. At the request of the Gerald, there will be no viewing or graveside services. Committal will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
