Barrick - Gerald R., 93 of Johnstown passed away peacefully on Oct 24th 2024. Born October 29, 1930 in Johnstown, PA, son of Gerald and Myrtle (Rice) Barrick.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Lee, Shirley, and Connie; in-laws, Walter and Edith Thomstatter, and sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Sylvester Wissinger.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marlene (Thomstatter) Barrick; children, Kim (Tom) Wiseman, Kevin, Keith (Belinda); grandchildren, Tyler(Kayla) and Seth; niece, Catherine (James) Bogusky and sister Carol.
Jerry was a US ARMY Veteran and served in The Korean War, he also retired after working for over 35 years as a machinist at Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church; the Rise and Stride Walking Club; American Legion, Post 653, South Fork, and the Menoher Post #155 V.F.W. Jerry was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Hallmark Christmas movies with his wife. He was a beloved husband, dad, pap and friend who will be missed by many.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. James N. West officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Private entombment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1000 Scalp Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Gerald.
