PESCHOCK—George M., 88, Parkhill, passed away April 15, 2019, in Johnstown. Born July 19, 1930, son of George and Marie (Kinsky) Peschock. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Robert. Survived by wife of 48 years, Helen M. (Shamko), whom he married, June 5, 1971; daughter, Tina Madison Peschock, Toms River, NJ; grand dog, Wyatt; brother, John Peschock, and wife, Joann (Katawczik) Johnstown; sister-in-laws, Louise (Salem) Peschock, Parma, OH; Darlene Martin, Ebensburg; Linda Kirk and husband Larry, Drexel Hill, PA; brother-in-law, Michael Shamko, Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews. George was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School and was a US Army veteran having served in occupation Germany. He was a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education. He was a business teacher for 30 years at Westmont Hilltop High School. George was the former secretary of Franklin Borough. He was a life member of the NEA and PSEA. Member of Franklin Borough VFW, Post 5107. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Member of Church of the Transfiguration. The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until 10:10 a.m. Monday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Church of the Transfiguration, Fr.
