Wissinger – Gary E., 68, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2015 at Windber Hospice. Born on February 23, 1947 in Johnstown, son of Ilene (Marsh) Wissinger, Johnstown, and the late Owen W. Wissinger. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Holly; brother, Victor Washabaugh, and sister-in-law, Ruth Washabaugh. He is survived by his mother, Ilene, and by the love of his life, Geraldine "Gerri" (Tiffany) Wissinger, who he married on October 17, 1970. Also survived by his loving children, Beth Ann, and Hannah, wife of Aaron; four adoring grandchildren; brother, Ron, husband to Sandy and his youngest brother, Brian; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Gary was a graduate of Johnstown High School in 1965, received his B.S. at Nyack College and his Masters from Eastern University. He was employed as a Computer Programmer at Galliker’s Dairy, Nyack College and retired from Eastern University after 16 years of service as Manager of Student Services. Gary was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Richland Township and Calvary Bible Church, Phoenixville, PA. He enjoyed spending time fishing with his brothers, performing in the West Chester Community Choral Group, singing with the Worship Team at his church, playing basketball and rooting on his Pittsburgh Steelers. Gary loved his entire family, especially his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 3-7 p.m. at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Johnstown, PA. An additional viewing will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 425 Luther Road, Johnstown, PA, on Friday, July 24, 2015, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Streets officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
