Gary S. Boysza, Sr.

Boysza, Gary S., “Bud”, 82, of Richland. Died April 15, 2021, at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born August 7, 1938, in Windber. Son of the late Steve and Nancy M. (Taylor) Boysza. Preceded in death by wife, Helen (Niovich) and brother-in-law, Frank DiMartino. Survived by his beloved dog, “Powder”; son, Gary Jr. (Lynn), Jodi Boysza and Steven P. Boysza; step-children, Jocelyn (Rene) Davila, Jennifer (Justin) Horner; grandchildren, Terran, Roy, Hunter, Chalis and Paul. Brother of Sharon DiMartino and Larry “Skip” (Mary Lynn) Boysza; and ex-wife and close friend, Kathy Burkett.  Also, nieces and nephews. 1958 graduate of Richland High School. Gary was a life-long self-employed carpenter. Gary coached Cambria County Special Olympics for 20 years and was active in the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed bowling and also coached little league and soccer. Friends received from Noon to time of service at 2 pm Saturday April 24, 2021, at Harris Funeral home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
