Gail C. Roth

Roth – Gail C., 85, Harrisburg, formerly of Richland, went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2024. Born on January 26, 1939 in South Fork, PA, daughter of Donald E. and Angela I. (McNally) Corl. Preceded in death by her parents; devoted husband, Robert J. Roth; siblings, Doris Fry, Jean Ripple, Angela Corl, Shirley Corl, Donald Corl, Jr, and Ronald Corl.

 She is survived by her loving children, Joanne Roth, Harrisburg, PA, Robert M. Roth, Colorado Springs, CO, Janet Roth, wife of David Panton, Macungie, PA, and Sandra wife of Todd Minners, Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Nicole Roth, Colorado Springs, CO, Isaac and Amity Martin, Arlington, VA, and Alexa Minners, Mountain View, CA; sister-in-law, Norma Corl, Windber, PA; many nieces and nephews, and faithful 4 legged friends, Oso, Gracie, Oscar, Tilly, and Fred.

 Gail was a 1957 graduate of Mount Aloysius. She later graduated from the Duffs Business School in Pittsburgh. Gail was employed by Iron City Brewery for 3 years, as an executive secretary. She later retired in 2004 as an elementary school secretary from Richland School District. Gail was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and also volunteered for numerous church functions. She also volunteered at Windber Hospice for 13 years. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, and playing Pinochle with her family and best friends, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Gail passed away peacefully on August 26th, the 63rd anniversary of her marriage to Bob. Gail and Bob raised their four children in Johnstown where they practiced their faith regularly at St. Benedicts, cultivated friendships within the Richland community. She was well known for working hard at her occupation and volunteer organizations.

 Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where a Vigil Service will be held. The Funeral Mass will be held noon on Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Mausoleum.
