Fred G Mountain

Mountain, Fred G., 84, of Echo, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2011 at Cambria Care Center. He was born on September 12, 1926 in Marion Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, J. Glenn and Alice J. (Mumau) Mountain; brother, Sam; sister, Edna Fyock and son-in-law, Gary W. Behory. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sylvia J. (Bimeal) Mountain, daughters, Gloria J. wife of Paul Volk, Pamela F. wife of Rev. Robert J. Way, and Glenda L. Behory; grandchildren, David, Josh, Jason, Justin and Kayla; sister, Ora White, and several nieces and nephews. Fred was a 1944 graduate of Marion Center High School. He retired from Jewel Home Shopping Service, was an active member of Nanty Glo Church of the Brethren, involved with Brethren Disaster Relief and Meals on Wheels. Fred enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his entire family. Friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 P.M. on Thursday and from noon until time of service at 1 P.M. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh with the Rev. Robert J. Way officiating. Interment will be at Headrick Union Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Brethren Disaster Ministries, 601 Main Street, P.O.
