Campagna – Frank N., 87, of Murrysville, formerly of Stonycreek Township, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2015, at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born on April 27, 1928, in Johnstown. Son of Nicola and Carmela (Tortarici) Campagna. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Elizabeth L. “Betty” (Moraca) Campagna; brothers, Anthony, and Sam and a sister, Josephine “Jo” Campagna. He is survived by his loving children, Carmella, wife of David P. Meiklejohn, Johnstown, Nicholas, married to the former Karen Rae Besece, Georgetown, TX., Regina, wife of Chris Stone, Boynton Beach, FL., and Frances Marie, wife of Brian Smith, Murrysville; grandchildren; Carissa Beth, Rene Nichole, Nicholas, Gina Rae, Jared and Riley; great granddaughter, Abriella Campagna; brother, Michael (Betty) Campagna, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was a 1948 graduate of Johnstown High School. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. Frank retired as the owner and operator of the former Campagna’s Market. He was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, meeting regularly with his crew to stuff bulletins and grab breakfast. Frank was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Assembly #954, volunteering at the St. Benedict Catholic Church annual reunion. He was also a member of the Cursillo and the Benedictine Oblates. Frank was a loving father, grand and great grandfather who dedicated his life to service of the Lord, his family and his community. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Military Rites will be conducted at the funeral home by Conemaugh Valley, Det. #287 Marine Corps League Ritual Team at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private Committal will be at St Anthony Cemetery, Geistown. Family suggests contributions to St. Benedict Parish, 2306 Bedford St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904, or to Cornerstone Veteran’s Ministry, 2200 Cornerstone Lane, Murrysville, PA 15632, in memory of Frank.
