Frances Silko

Silko, Frances, 89, Johnstown. Went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2015, at Conemaugh Medical Center.  She was born on March 22, 1926 in Ebensburg, PA. Daughter of the late John and Anna (Pustellock) Guzek.  Preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Peter Silko.  Also preceded in death by brothers; infant Stanley Guzek and John Guzek (wife Betty).She is survived by her children; David, Kathleen (Gregory) Speicher, Leonard (JoAnn), Marianne, Ronald (Cindy), Sandra (Robert Ryen), Teresa (John) Shannon, Suzanne (Frank) Funa; 8 Grandchildren; brother Joseph; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was always a warm, loving and giving person.  Family suggests in the spirit of her memory, donations may be directed to Palliative Care Unit at Conemaugh Medical Center. Member of the Church of the Transfiguration, Conemaugh, where Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday. Father Robert C. Hall, Pastor.  Committal will be at Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
