Hall – Fr. Robert C, 72, Conemaugh, returned to the Lord on April 4, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on October 16, 1951 in Johnstown, son of the late James M. and Mary Jo (Hamilton) Hall. Also preceded in death by infant brother Vincent, sister Elaine A. Peterson, brother James F. Hall, nieces Christine and Amy Pudliner; and nephew/Godson James R. Hall. He is survived by his sister Mary Beth Pudliner and husband Tom, Johnstown, and Deacon John P. Hall and wife Mary Beth, Rock Hill, SC; sister-in-law Rosemarie Hall, Alta Loma, CA, nephews, Matthew J. Peterson, Houston, TX, Thomas J. Pudliner and wife Jacquelyn, Leesburg, VA, David M. Pudliner, Johnstown, niece Julie A. Hall, Chapel Hill, NC; great nephews and niece, Tommy, Joe, Jacob and Katie Pudliner, of Leesburg, VA. Father Hall was a graduate of Richland High School, Saint Mary’s College in St. Mary, KY and later attended Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD and ordained a priest on May 5, 1979 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona, PA by Bishop James Hogan. His ministry assignments included St. John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown, St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Bedford, St. Clement Parish, and St. Stephen Parish in Johnstown as Associate Pastor. He also served at the State Correctional Institution in Huntingdon. After serving over two years as Chaplain at Mercy Hospital in Altoona, he was assigned as Parochial Vicar at St. Benedict Parish in Johnstown. Father Hall served for four years first as Administrator and later Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Mount Union and was later appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Altoona. His final assignment was to the people of Conemaugh in 2000, where he then was appointed Pastor of both the former Assumption and Sacred Heart Parishes, later to be merged into the Church of the Transfiguration. He served as Pastor of the Church of the Transfiguration from 2008 until his passing. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where a Vigil Service will be held and a brief Panachida Service by Fr. Robert F. Oravetz at 7 pm will conclude the evening. Reception of the body will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of the Transfiguration. Viewing from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Bishop Mark Bartchak presiding with diocesan priests concelebrating. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery.
