JAMES---Florence A., 99, Johnstown, passed away on August 8, 2024 at Forest Hills Personal Care Home, Sidman. Born January 21, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of Walter and Stella (Feathers) Varner. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Russell; 11 brothers and sisters; great-grandson, Kendrik Johns. She is survived by her children; Connie Torr, Richland; Ronald, married to the former Monica Paruch, Richland; grandchildren; Anthony, Kimberly, Patricia, and Brian, great-grandchildren, Katie, Sami, Jakob, Daphne and Milica and great-great-grandson, Carson. Sister of Betty Marie DeNorcy, FL. Florence was employed at Bali Bra as a trimmer, and the former Gee Bee Department Store as a receiver. She was a member of the former Geistown Country Club and enjoyed bowling and arts and crafts. Florence and her husband enjoyed summers at Rehoboth Beach, DE. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2024 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Fr. David S. Peles.
