Florence Deitke

DEITKE---Florence, 92, Johnstown, PA, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones, after her courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on July 26, 1932, in Baker Whitely, PA. She was the daughter of Frank and Julia Kolonich. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Anthony Deitke Jr., her brothers, Frank and Ernie, and her sister, Shirl Zborovancik. Florence is survived by her daughters, Linda, Christine, and Brenda (John Lorenz); her son, Brian (Trish) Deitke; her grandchildren, William (Davita), Autumn, and Dylan (Madison); her brothers, John (Josephine), Robert (Teri), and Ronald (Jill); and many nieces and nephews. Florence worked for many years at A&P and Market Basket grocery stores. She found great joy in caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. The family is eternally grateful to the staff at Windber Hospice for their kind and caring support. Private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Anne Church in Davidsville, PA, officiated by Fr. Karl Kolodziejski, OFM.
