Churchey, Everett H., 89, of Geistown Borough, went to his eternal rest on March 25, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on February 8, 1926 in Johnstown, son of Everett H Sr. and Mary Jane (Radle) Churchey. Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Michael Alan McClain; brother, Thomas; half brother, Frank Rumberger, and half sister, Blanche Moldiney. He is survived by the love of his life of 68 years, Annabelle E. (Burns) Churchey, Geistown Borough; children, Joyce A., wife of Ronald C. Evitts, Hooversville, and Kenneth R., married to the former Patricia L. Claycomb, Geistown Borough; grandchildren, Scott A. McClain, married to the former Dina C.Facciani, Windber, Everett J. Churchey and his fiancé, Jessica R. Craig, and Elizabeth S., wife of Jorge M. Sanchez all of Johnstown; great grandchildren, Marcey L., wife of Matthew Beach, Whitsett, NC, Catherine A. McClain, serving in the US Navy in Italy, Caroline A. and Sean M. McClain both of Windber, and Donnavan M., Hunter J., Annabella S., and Savannah R. Sanchez all of Johnstown; brother, Robert W., Johnstown and several nieces and nephews. Everett was a US Army Veteran serving during World War II in Germany and France. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 33 years of service as a pipe fitter. Everett was a member of University Park Church of God, where he volunteered much of his time. He was an excellent wood worker and auto mechanic. Everett was always able to fix anything. He was an avid Steelers, Pirates and NASCAR fan and enjoyed any sports that his family was involved in. Everett loved his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at University Park Church of God, with the Rev. Timothy C. Coppess officiating. Entombment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum with military rites conducted by Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps. League, Detachment #287.
