McFeaters-Wingard â Eva P., 89, Geistown Borough, graduated to Glory on September 21, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on July 14, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of James E. and Thelma P. (Erb) Singer. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Robert L. McFeaters; brother, Donald Singer and beloved great grandson, Christopher Miller. She is survived by her loving husband of 8 years, W. Edwin Wingard; daughter, Roberta P. (Harold E.) Rager; sons, Richard L. (Dianne) McFeaters and Donald W. (Jody) McFeaters; step daughters, Karen E. (Alan K.) OâDonnell and Diane L. (Jack) Allison; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Robert E. (Shirley) Singer and Melvin J. (Anne) Singer and nieces and nephews. Eva attended Johnstown High School. She and her 1st husband owned and operated the former Windber Signs for many years. Eva was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. She had been active in both the Girl Scouts of America and Cub Scouts of America. Eva was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary, B.P.O.E., Johnstown Lodge. She was a volunteer at Windber Hospice. Eva and Edwin volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels for 6 years. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Oakland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Randy Bain officiating. Inurnment will be at Armagh Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family suggests contributions be directed to either Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber PA 15963 or to The Rise Up Campaign at Oakland United Methodist Church, 1504 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15902 in memory of Eva.
