Eva K. Brett

Brett, Eva K., 90, of Jackson Township, went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on November 4, 1923 in East Conemaugh Borough. Daughter of Maurice G. and Josephine (Bittner) Johnson. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William M., “Bill” Brett and brother, Maurice “Mac” Johnson. She is survived by her loving children, William D. Sr., married to the former Judy Metzger, Jackson Township, Robert D., married to the former Agnes Malloy, Richland Township and Joan B., wife of Harry Brown, Jackson Township; grandchildren, Robert Jr., Kristen, Brian, Jennifer, William Jr., Christopher, Sean, and Jessica; 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Eva was a graduate of East Conemaugh High School. She was employed as a clerk at the former Mackall Brothers Hardware, Vinco. Eva was a member of the Summit Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing and camping. Eva loved her many trips to Canada and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Saturday at Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John H. Weaver officiating. Family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Private inurnment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
