Ethel Ramirez

RAMIREZ---Ethel (Svencer), 86, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021 at Richland Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Born on May 21, 1935, in Johnstown, daughter of George and Elizabeth (Slavick) Svencer. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tamara (Ramirez) Goller, son, Jeffrey Michael Ramirez, brothers, Andrew, Michael, Richard, David, sisters, Dolly Tomak, Dorothy Goncey and Mary Martinovich. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Peter Ramirez, children, Peter Joseph Ramirez and Lori, Alliance, Ohio and Cynthia Podgorney and Thomas, Johnstown, son-in-law, Timothy Goller, brothers, Albert, married to the former Victoria Pappas, East Taylor Township, Frank, married to the former Doreen Dolgas, Vinco, George, married to the former Kathy Passeau, Bon Air, Lawrence, Hollsopple, and sister, Margaret Marshall, Windber; grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Natalie Goller, Lubbock, TX, Peter (PJ) Ramirez and wife, Kerri, Aliquippa, Elizabeth (Betsy) Patton, Akron, Ohio, Ryan Podgorney and Brent Podgorney, Johnstown; great-grandchildren, Chase, Lainey, Easton, Joey, Jeffrey, Cameron and Steven. Ethel was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. She loved dancing with her husband, listening to polkas and visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Penn Hospice, especially Courtney, and the staff of Richland Rehabilitation Center. According to Ethel’s wishes, a private funeral service will be held for her family. Committal, Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family is being served by Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
