Ethel L. Howard

Howard, Ethel L., 94, of Richland. Died April 4, 2014, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Aug. 6, 1919, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Elmer and Carrie (Probert) Fondelier. Also preceded in death by husband, Arthur G. Howard; siblings, Elmer “Dutch”, Richard, and Robert Fondelier; and Katherine Ream, Dorothy Phenicie, June Gindlesberger and Betty Holtzman. Survived by daughters; Sandra, wife of James Jardina, Jr., Richland; and Renae, wife of John W. Howard, Elton. Grandchildren; Carrie, wife of David Ferchalk, Nicole, wife of Scott Gdula, James Jardina, III, married to Sue (Bovino) and  Kim Percherke. Also 10 great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ethel graduated from Johnstown High School. Retired from Dutch Maid Bakery. Member of Belmont United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her best friend, Gin Lunt and special niece, Shirley Miller. Ethel was affectionately known to her family as “Grandma Tippy Toes”. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday. Rev. Keith Dunn, officiating.
