Estella T. Michura

Michura, Estella T., 91, Silver Springs, MD, formerly of East Conemaugh, passed away on November 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born November 26, 1922 in East Conemaugh. Daughter of George and Frances (Miaziar) Michura. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Frances Baker, Julia Lemansky and Blanche Michura; brother, John W. Michura Sr. Estella was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including special nephew, John Michura, married to the former Emma “Dolly” O’Brien, East Conemaugh. Estella was a member of St. Mathers Cathedral, Washington, DC. and a former member of Church of the Transfiguration. She retired after 28 years of service as an Executive Secretary for the US Government Treasury Department. After retirement she continued her career as a secretary for the president of the United States and later worked several years for a law firm in Washington, DC. Estella will be remembered as a kind and loving aunt and friend. Friends received from 12:30 p.m. until time of Prayer Service at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. Her family suggest contributions be directed to the Church of the Transfiguration, 340 Second Street, Conemaugh PA 15909 in memory of Estella.
