Kaufman, Emma G. âSisâ, 84, formerly of Richland Township, passed away on May 1, 2015 at Laurel View Village. Born on February 6, 1931 in Colver, PA and raised in Robinson, PA. Daughter of Russell and Cora (Donahue) Arford. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William âPudgeâ Kaufman; infant daughter; brothers, Russell, Alvin and Ronald Arford and sister, Marjorie Heming. She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Kenna Raymond and partner Ron Morris, and son, Ronald Raymond and wife Linda (Wingard), all of Johnstown; granddaughter, Rhonda (Greg) Gaydos, and great-grandchildren, Brian and Megan all of Sprindfield, VA; sister, Rose Ann Huegel, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Earl Heming, Bedford, PA; sister-in-law, lifelong friend and special caregiver, Ramona Arford, Horseshoe Bend, AK; sister-in-law Betty Arford, Clearfield, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was a manager for Tupperware and later was employed at Sears in the Credit Office, Custom Drape Shop and Assistant Tailor in the Menâs Shop. Sis was a member of the Arbutus Church of the Brethren; the Geistown Country Club; the Harmony Singing Society and the Greater Johnstown Motorcycle Touring Club. She enjoyed playing BINGO and casino trips with her buddy, Charlotte Brandon, Geistown. Sis and her family and friends loved their time together at Deep Creek, MD and many still have fond memories of going to âThe Lakeâ with Sis and Pudge. She just absolutely loved to fish. Sis and Pudge enjoyed their motorcycle trips, camping and traveling in their RV along with playing cards. Everyone who knew Sis and Pudge will remember them for their enjoyment of life. Emmaâs family would like to thank Laurelview Village; friend and special care giver, Rose Mary Stump; Dr. Maharajh; Dr. Tuli, and the Palliative Care Staff at Memorial Medical Center for their exceptional and loving care of Emma. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Committal service will follow immediately at Kaufman Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Laurel View Village Chapel, with the Rev. Jeffrey Bassette officiating.
