Gregorchik, Emma M., 96, of Richland (Johnstown, PA.) Died July 18, 2015, at the Presbyterian Home of Johnstown. Born Feb. 3, 1919 in Sagamore, Pa (Armstrong County) Daughter of The late Stephen & Mary (Zavotsky) Cherney. Also proceeded in death by husband Edward J. Gregorchik; daughter Donna J. (Gregorchik) Stein; and Great Grandson Colin J. Maldet; Brothers Alex, William, Albert, Stephen, John Paul and brother Joseph in WWII; Sisters Isabelle Chauby, Matilda Cherney, Sister Susanne Cherney, O.S.C.; and Yolanda Cherney. Survived by Daughter, Rita (Charles) Kania, Natrona Heights, PA; and son, Ronald E. (Shirley Sedgwick) of Richland Township; Grandchildren Kelly (Matt Maldet) Johnstown, Eric (Mandy John) Gregorchik of Lakewood, Ohio; Kari (Matt Rosenbaum) of Colorado Springs, CO; Michael Stein Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Thomas ( Brittany McKendry) Gregorchik of Charlotte, NC; Great Grandchildren: Jenna VanBuskirk, Rylee Maldet, Braeden Maldet, & Kambria Rosenbaum. Also son -in-law Michael Stein Sr. of Baltimore, MD; sisters Elizabeth Amato of St. Louis, MO and Veronica (Paul) Metro of Apollo, PA; Brother-in-law, Clarence Seftik of Richland Township; and many nieces and nephews. A 1936 graduate of Sagamore High school. Member of St. Benedict's Parish, Geistown where she was a member of The Mother's Club and Altar and Rosary Society. Was a Sacristan, caring for the Altar Linens for 40 years. Also Volunteered at the St. Benedicts Annual Reunion for more than 40 years. A retired employee from Gee Bee Dept. Store, with more than 20 years of service. Emma enjoyed Pinochle Card club, cooking, baking, hosting out of town relatives, traveling shopping and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday July 21, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10:00am Wednesday July 22 at St. Benedict's Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Grandview Cemetery.
