Emily R. Boring

Boring – Emily R., 19, of Franklin Borough, passed away on November 26, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on February 12, 1996 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late George E., Jr., “Butch” and Rebecca A. (Gustkey) Boring, Franklin Borough. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Melvina Gustkey, and paternal grandparents, George and Thelma Boring. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving brother, Jacob A., and his fiancé, Shannon Baxley, Indiana, PA; numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and special care givers, Lisa, Ashley, Amber, Sue, and Amy. Emily was a student at Greater Johnstown Career and Technology. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Johnstown. Emily enjoyed going to the Pittsburgh Zoo, especially the gorilla exhibit. She also like watching the Steelers and will be remembered for her fondness of animals of all kinds. If you ever had the privilege of meeting Emily, you would never forget her smile and upbeat personality. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church, with her pastor, Rev. Michael A. VanDyke officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family in memory of Emily.
