Bovino â Elvida, 90, Hornerstown, passed away on April 28, 2015 at The Villa Personal Care Home. Born on July 5, 1924 in Johnstown, daughter of Luigi and Julia (Salvino) Sirianni. She was the last surviving child of her immediate family. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno Bovino; infant daughter, Linda Joyce; son-in-law, Al Neff. She is survived by her loving children, Louise M. Neff, Richland Township, Gene, married to the former Denise Harrison, Johnstown, and Joyce J., wife of Tim Suckenik, Richland Township; Nana to six grandsons, John Neff, married to the former Kelly Monahan, Wexford, PA, David Neff, married to the former Emily Magerum, Hampstead, MD, Curtis and Nathan Bovino, both of Johnstown, Stephen Suckenik and his fiancé, Kaitlyn Beach, and Michael Suckenik all of Johnstown; great grandmother to Emma, Rachel, Julia, Andrew, and Tyler Neff. Elvida was a graduate of Johnstown High School and the Tri County School of Beauty Culture in Johnstown. She was employed at the former Glosser Brotherâs Department Store as a cashier and later retired from Johnstown School District, where she was employed in the school cafeteria. Elvida was a lifelong member of St. Clare of Assisi and enjoyed working the spaghetti dinners. She also enjoyed oil painting scenic pictures, cake decorating and sewing. Elvida loved fussing over her grandchildren. Her family would like to thank everyone that assisted in Elvidaâs care, especially Dr. Thomas Ellenberger Jr. and his staff, the entire staff at the Villa, and the Interim Hospice nurses. At Elvidaâs request there will be no public viewing or service. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, Fr. Matthew E. Misurda. Private burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Interim Hospice, 322 Warren St Suite 220, Johnstown, PA 15905 in memory of Elvida.
