Elizabeth M. "Betty" Bloom

BLOOM---Betty (Elizabeth) Mae, 92, formerly of Elton, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2020. Born on May 26, 1928 in Johnstown, daughter of Andrew Foster and Sadie (Graham) Rose.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Bloom whom she married on October 24, 1958, brothers, Robert Rose, Phillip Rose and George Rose.  She was the last surviving member of her family.  Survived by special friends, Betsy Wright, Tom, Ryan, Rebecca, Rylejohn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty retired from Geistown Pharmacy and the former Bloom’s Pharmacy with 44 years of service.  She was a long-time member of Life Church, Windber. She enjoyed flowers, music and meditating on the things of God, with her prayer being The Lord’s Prayer. There will be no viewing.  The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Laurel View Village and Windber Hospice for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Church, 107 Bantley Place, Windber, PA 15963. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with Pastor Rick Smith officiating.
