Edward Ziemba

Ziemba – Edward, 80, East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on March 11, 1936 in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Mary (Zuzak) Ziemba. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Joseph; siblings, Frank, Ted, Stella Pyshnik, John, Joe, Adell “Dolly”, and Chester “Chet”. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June E. (Lester) Ziemba, East Taylor Township; children, Ed, Benshoff Hill, Diane Adams, Wesley Chapel, Bob (Terri), Ferndale, and Tammy (Mike) Hakanen, Titusville, FL; grandchildren, Jamie and Angie, Jon and Courtney, Terri, Nathan and Toby, and Steve; great grandchildren, Logan, Maddie, Allie, Lainey, Caden, Mason, Carson, Makenzie and Landen; sisters, Helen Salata, and Sophie Bartina, both of Parkhill; brother, Bill (Pat) Philadelphia, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was a graduate of Conemaugh High School. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 35 years of service. Ed was a former member of the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and horse shoes. Ed had great resolve, and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He was a great provider and loved his family more than anything. At Ed’s request, there will be no public viewing. Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Pastor Mike Husted officiating. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions be directed to Heritage Hospice, North Office, 625 Rustic Lodge Rd f, Indiana, PA 15701 in memory of Ed.
