Gregorchik, Edward J., 92, of Richland. Died July 31, 2013, at the Presbyterian Home.
Born Dec. 18, 1920, in Johnstown. Son of the late Thomas and Mary (Guzik) Gregorchik. Also preceded in death by daughter, Donna Stein and great grandson, Colin Maldet; brothers; Casmir, Joseph, Walter, Wallace, and John; Sisters; Helen Ratay, Stella Kaminski, Eleanor Hamski and Florence Seftic.Survived by wife of 67 years, Emma M. (Cherney). Daughter, Rita (Charles) Kania, Natrona Heights, PA; and son, Ronald E. (Shirley Sedgwick), Johnstown. Grandchildren; Kelly (Matt Maldet) Johnstown, Eric Gregorchik, Cleveland, OH; Kari (Matt Rosenbaum),Guam; Michael Stein, Jr., Baltimore, MD; Thomas Gregorchik (Brittany Mckenry, Fiancé) , Johnstown. Great Grandchildren, Jenna and Kambria, Rylee and Braeden.Also son-in-law, Michael Stein, Sr., Baltimore, MD.; and brother-in-law, Clarence Seftic, Richland. Many nieces and nephews. 1940 graduate of Johnstown High School. WWII Army Veteran. Retired rigger from Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel with 42 years’ service. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Holy Name Society and St. Benedict Duck Pin League. Long time volunteer for parish reunion. Also member of Menoher Post #155, VFW and American Legion, Richland Post. Ed enjoyed gardening, hosting family gatherings, shopping and traveling. Friends received 2-8 PM Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 AM Monday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Grandview Cemetery with military rites by Menoher Post # 155, VFW Ritual Team.
