Dr. David C. Borecky

Borecky, David C., M.D., 87, of Richland. Died Feb. 28, 2015, at home. Born Aug. 5, 1927, in Johnstown. Son of the late Joseph and Mary (Richwals) Borecky. Also preceded in death by brother Richard. Survived by wife of 65 years, Gloria Wess Borecky; and children, Carl David, married to former Beth Trojac; and Karla, wife of Scott Foust; brother of Lea Uveges and Frances Sweeney. Navy Veteran of WWII. Graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Borecky practiced Internal Medicine in Johnstown for 60 years. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend of 70 years;  by his friends, family, former patients; and by his loyal cat friend, Crisp. There will be no public visitation; however, family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Mass at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor.
