Stroz, Dorothy A., 90, Johnstown, passed away serenely at Windber Hospice April 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.  Born June 23, 1923 in Johnstown, daughter of Frank William and Agnes Marie (Kohler) Partsch.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers Donald, Albert, Victor, and Herbert Partsch and sister Mary Joanne Partsch.  Survived by husband of 57 years, Merle Stroz and daughter Dorothy Louise, both of Johnstown.  Sister of Anthony “Ed” Partsch, Raymond Partsch and wife Carol; Harold Partsch and wife Lou Ann.  Also survived by sisters-in-law Irene Partsch, Mary Partsch, Virginia Partsch and many godchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dorothy enjoyed attending Mass, spending time with family, planting flowers, baking pies, and making homemade candy.  The family thanks Dr. Roy Ziegelstein and Dr. Paul Rosenberg of the Johns Hopkins Hospital for their outstanding care as well of the staff of Windber Hospice for their compassion. Member of SS Gregory & Barnabas Catholic Church, Daisytown, where Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Thursday. Fr. Robert Ruston, pastor. Friends received 3-7 PM Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Committal at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
