Dorothy E. Ripple

Ripple, Dorothy E., 90, of Richland. Died November 7, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 15, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio. Daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Olah) Gerfy. Also preceded in death by husband Earl; and brother, Franklin Gerfy. Survived by sons; Roger, Gary (Monica); Jerry (Paula) all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Adam (Ronda) and Tim; great grandchildren, Nate and Carter; sister-in-law Barbara Gerfy; nieces, Debbie and Linda all of Arlington Hts, IL. Graduate of Windber High School. Member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Dot was a cheerleader in high school while her husband Earl was a star football player. She and Earl worked very hard at the former Ripple’s Restaurant for many years. Dot enjoyed working puzzles, watching football and her favorite soap opera. Dot and Earl always put family first and never missed their grandson’s ball games. Private family service and interment at Richland Cemetery with Pastors Custead, officiating.
