CAFEO-BURNS—Dorothy F., 97, Oakland, passed away on July 21, 2023 at St. Jude’s Haven, Johnstown. Born March 3, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of Michael and Catherine (Milnar) Woznick. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Wayne Burns, second husband, John Cafeo; sister, Evelyn Sefchick and brother, Leonard and infant brother, James. Survived by daughters, Joyce Calpin and husband, Richard, Richland and Janice Vranich and husband, Mark, Richland; grandchildren, Justin, Scott, Leah, Kimberly, Natalie and Haley; great-grandchildren, Kira, Nickolai and Madison. During World War II, Dorothy worked on the home front at Sylvania Radio Tube Plant in Johnstown. She worked in other retail businesses throughout the years. She was very active in the East Hills Senior Center in Richland and won the Sam Cannone award for volunteer service at the center. She was a line dancing teacher and visited many nursing homes to perform with her group, Happy Trail Dancers. Member of the Oakland Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hats Society. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
