Doris J. Lovekin

Lovekin – Doris J., 88, Mineral Point, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on June 3, 1926 in Mineral Point, daughter of Clair M. and Blanche A. (Shoemaker) Price. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira S. Lovekin; grandson, Ryan D. Lovekin and brother, Robert. She is survived by her loving daughters, Michele D., wife of Jeffery H. Parkinson, Elizabethtown, PA and Deborah J. Lovekin, Mineral Point; grandchildren, Richard W., married to the former Kristi L. Friedeberg, Sandusky, OH, Kevin S. Parkinson, and Kristy A., wife of Joshua P. Stouffer, all of Elizabethtown; great granddaughters, Kailey, Brooklyn, and Liliana; brothers, Clair Price, Johnstown, James (Sally) Price, Belleview, PA and several nieces and nephews. Doris was a graduate of Conemaugh High School. She was employed as a clerk, during WW II, in the Pentagon. She was a member of Vinco Brethren Church, where she was a Bible and Sunday School teacher for many years. Doris enjoyed gardening and going to church. She loved to sing and spend time with her family. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until time of service at 9 a.m. at Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev.
