Donahey - Donna Lee, 66, of Arbutus Park Manor, Richland Township, formerly of Oakland, died surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2016 at Windber Hospice. She was born February 27, 1950 in Johnstown, daughter of Ivan and June Donahey. Preceded in death by her parents, nephew Chad Stein and brother-in-law Walt Stein. Survived by siblings Bonnie Stein, Yardley PA; Patty, wife of Joseph Karls, Billings MT; Susan, wife of Calvin Wolfe, Johnstown both of whom gave their time, assistance and love to Donna as they provided daily care throughout her illness; Ivan Wayne Donahey, Jr., married to Joann (Trappanotto), Rochester, NY and Ben Donahey, married to Robin (Sinoply), Sebastian, FL. To her nieces and nephews, she was their beloved “Aunt Donna” who made each one feel special as she always had time to share with them from phone calls and letters to special “theme” weekends, trips to places like the White House to watching movies and TV shows. Donna was blessed to have many friends and especially enjoyed her friendships with Linda and Donna as well as the companionship of her special cat Riley. Donna graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Nursing and later taught nursing at Altoona Mercy and Mount Aloysius. She worked at Johnstown Mercy Hospital in the ICU. Donna was a charge nurse in the New Visions Chemical Dependency Unit specializing in Drug and Alcohol treatments with clients who also had a psychiatric diagnosis. She served as the Director of Nursing at Drug and Alcohol Detox and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsburgh. Donna published an article in the Christian Journal of Nursing and also received the Florence Nightingale Award from Pennsylvania. She was an active member of Belmont United Methodist Church and gave volunteer time to the residents at Arbutus Park Manor. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. on Friday at Belmont United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Keith A. Dunn officiating. Inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Donna’s memory to Chad Stein Memorial Scholarship, Pennsbury High School, Box 338, 134 Yardley Avenue, Fallsington, PA 19058-0338; Arbutus Park Manor Benevolence Care Fund, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 and American Lung Association in Pennsylvania, P.
