WOODNORTH---Donald C., 89, Johnstown, passed away on September 22, 2022 in Johnstown. Born May 3, 1933, Maplewood, NJ, son of Chester H. and Pearl M. (Seip) Woodnorth. Preceded in death by parents; and first wife, Patricia S. (Swain) Woodnorth and grandson, Joshua Kimmel. Survived by wife, Patty L. (Saylor) Woodnorth; children, Donna Davis and husband, Joe, Patton; Alan Woodnorth and wife, Kim (Seminsky), Johnstown; David Woodnorth, Johnstown; step-children, Linda Mitchell and Brian Youll, Denver, CO; David Mitchell and wife, Liz, Pittsburgh; Laura Donelan and husband, John, Florida; Brant St. Clair, Marcia St. Clair; grandchildren, Kierston Woodnorth, Devan Replogle, Alex Replogle, Joseph Davis IV and fiancé, Mackenzie, Matthew Davis, Ryan Kimmel and Justin Kimmel and wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Nathan Kimmel, Lucas Kimmel, Jett Kimmel, Gavin Kimmel and Oscar Kimmel; step-grandchildren, Libby Rahmani, Ricky Povich and Allison Mitchell; step-great-grandchildren, Leili, Ilya and Parsa Rahmani; brother, Robert Woodnorth and wife, Margie, New Jersey, and their children, Brian, Douglas and Shirley. Don was a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force. A retired Assistant Superintendent of the Franklin Mills, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was an active member of the Westmont Presbyterian Church where was a member of the choir and was a longtime board member at Westmont Family Counseling Ministries. Attending Wednesday morning prayer breakfasts was an important part of his life. Don was a member of the Glendale Sailing Club. He enjoyed camping and sailing at Glendale Yearound. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Westmont Presbyterian Church, and again from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Rev. Bernard Nti, Pastor, and Rev. Larry Chottiner officiating. Private inurnment at the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial donations to Westmont Presbyterian Church, 601 Luzerne St., Johnstown, PA 15905, or Westmont Family Counseling Ministries, 789 Goucher St., Johnstown, PA 15905, in memory of Don. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
