Donald Lee Lehman

Donald Lee Lehman, 86, formerly of Johnstown, Pa., went to be with his Savior Monday, June 29, 2020 at Carolyn’s Hospice House in Harrisburg.
He was born in Johnstown December 23, 1933, the younger son of Harry and Celia Lehman, who preceded him in death. October 18, 1958, he married Dee Lehman at the Moxham Church of the Brethren in Johnstown. They were married 60 years until Dee's passing March 30, 2019. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lehman and Joseph Ricci of Mechanicsburg; his older brother Harry Lehman, Jr.; nephews Harry Lehman III (Maria) and Timothy Lehman (Jenn); sister-in-law Linda Lee Cravotta (Warren) of Duncansville; a niece, Julie White (Eric) of Warriors Mark and their children, Ethan, Becca and Austin. Don graduated from Johnstown High School in 1952. He retired as a supervisor in the Production Scheduling Department at the Bethlehem Steel Company. He was active in the community, serving as a Richland Township auditor for many years and, with his wife, was a member of the Richland band boosters. Don was a lifelong member of the Moxham Church of the Brethren, where he served as a deacon for many decades and was named deacon emeritus in 2018. At the church, he had also served as youth leader, volunteered at Camp Harmony, and participated in many dramatic presentations. Don was a faithful husband, father and friend. He loved his home in Johnstown, where he enjoyed gardening and hosting many campfires, picnics and meals with neighbors and friends. He liked canoeing, camping, boating and traveling, and took a special bus trip to see the West with his beloved mother-in-law, Catherine Emeigh, now deceased. He also reluctantly loved cats. His cat, Chessie, was with him until near the end. Inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery. A memorial service for Don will be held Tuesday, July 7. 2020 at the Moxham Church of the Brethren, 536 Grove Ave., Johnstown, PA. A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 11:15 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
