Donald L. Kordell

Kordell – Donald L., 91, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2018. Born on August 18, 1927 in Johnstown, son of Frank and Mary (Wallat) Kordell. Preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Dolores (Gilmore) Kordell; 2nd wife, Vera J. (Buzzard) Hoffman-Kordell; daughter, Yvonne; Brother, Theodore, Joseph, and a sister, Theresa Komar. He is survived by his loving children, Brian D. (Donna L.), Kimberly A. Whited, and Donald B. (Maria J.), all of Johnstown; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Don was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving during WW II. Don retired from GE as a Machinist. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Don enjoyed gardening, and tinkering in the garage. He loved his dogs, especially Lucky as well as feeding wildlife. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, Fr. Walter. J. Moll Jr., Pastor. Entombment will be at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
