Hoffman – Donald Herman, “Don”, 86, Salix. Died March 30, 2019, at Laurel View Village. Born Feb. 5, 1933, in Salix, to parents Herman and Agnes (Krise) Hoffman. Don was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Geistown-Richland Lions Club. He was a talented brick layer who pursued his dreams in construction by leaving his hometown and relocating to Michigan. In 1975 he moved back home to PA and started Don Hoffman Construction. Don was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He eagerly enjoyed his role as a father and supportive grandfather; witnessing his grandchildren competing in sports and academic achievements. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Survived by wife of 60 years, Marjorie (Good) Hoffman; son, Monty (Traci) Hoffman; daughter, Mindy (John) Rok; sister, Mary (Leonard) Seese; and grandchildren, Nate, Tori, and Taylor Hoffman, Ashley, Angela, and Jacob Rok. Brother-in-law to: Mickey Good, Lester (Dorie) Good, Betty Shaffer, Carl (Nancy) Good. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elwood Hoffman; sisters, Jean Wiggins, Audrey Sherrard, Marjorie Balogh, Garnett Burichin, Barbara Lane, and Patricia Miller. Also preceded in death by brothers-in-law: Virgil Good, Robert Good, Clyde Good and Paul Good. Friends received 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Lions Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1021 Forest Hills Dr., Salix, PA 15952. Pastor Donald Poole, officiating.
