Vantroba – Dolores Cecelia, “Dolly”, “Doluncia”, 92, Parkhill, went peacefully to be with the Lord on January 30, 2021 at Amber Springs at LaurelWood Care Center. Born on July 14, 1928 in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Mary (Podgorny) Vantroba. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Adam, John Jacob, Valentino, George, Walter, Catherine, Joseph, Sophie, and Theodore. She is survived by her loving sister, Elizabeth A. Vantroba, Parkhill; sister-in-law, Eleanor Vantroba, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Dolly was a 1947 graduate of Franklin High School. She was employed at Busy Bee Restaurant and later at Franklin Street United Methodist Church Day Care. Dolly was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, where she assisted with various church functions as well as being a choir member at the former Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church. She enjoyed researching her family tree with the help of very special friends. She was very proud of her Polish Heritage and she loved singing Polish songs with her sister, Elizabeth. Dolly loved her Lord, and her church dearly. Due to Covid-19 there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Private burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh.
