Dolores M. Saintz

Saintz – Dolores M., 91, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2016 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on January 25, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of William and Bertha (Grumbling) Howie. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward P. Saintz Jr.; daughter, Nannette M. Wheeler; great grandson, Shawn Saintz; siblings, Gail, Avonelle Martin, and Verndell Malone. She is survived by her loving children, Gary L., married to the former Brenda J. Wirick, DeVon R., married to the former Lorraine K. Bertoncini, Sally M., wife of James E. Houghton, Rebecca L. wife of John W. Hobor, and Cynthia S. Cummings, and her fiancé, John E. Campos all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Gary Jr., Kim, Michael, Jennifer, Dan, Christina, Michele, Jonathon, and Jeremy; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Urla Lee Cuppitt, Johnstown and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was a graduate of Conemaugh High School and Vo-Tech School of Nursing as a LPN. Dolores was employed at Johnstown Office Supply as an associate. She later retired from Conemaugh Hospital after 13 years of service as an LPN. Dolores was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren and its Sunday School Class for all Seasons and Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of the Anna L. Windolph No. 495, Order of the Eastern Star Dolores enjoyed reading, sewing, and baking. She especially loved spending time with her family and will be remembered for her delicious pies. Dolores’s family would like to thank the staff at Arbutus Park Manor, Windber Hospice, and Memorial Hospital Rose 10. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, with the Pastor Robert Wolf officiating. Interment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, Living Memorial Trust Fund, 856 Benshoff Hill Road, Johnstown, PA15906 in memory of Dolores.
