Denise E. Sobieski

Sobieski, Denise, E. 57, of Richland Township, passed away on Sept 14, 2011 at her residents after a prolonged illness.  Born on January 6, 1954 in Pittsburgh. Daughter of Steven and Hilda Mihalik. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dawn. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Joseph T. Sobieski, MD., Richland Township; children, Stephen, Thaddeus (Bridgette), Marshall, Kaitlyn (Adam) Benton all of the Johnstown area; grandchildren, Alexis, Anastasia, Aryanna, Aden and Liam and several nieces and nephews. Denise was a graduate of Penn Hills High School and the Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at West Penn Hospital and later assisted her husband with his practice. Denise attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, Richland Township. She enjoyed crafts and was very active will her children attended Johnstown Christian Schools. Denise especially loved being a homemaker and will be remembered for her gourmet meals. At Denise’s request there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
