Denis Mullaney

Mullaney, Denis, 88, of Reston, Virginia, formerly of Richland Township passed away on December 18, 2014, in VA. Born Oct.15, 1926, in Strokestown, Roscommon County, Ireland.  Preceded in death by parents, brothers and sisters, and daughter, Juliann.  Survived by his wife, Sheila, son William and his wife Terry, son Denis and his wife Mari, daughter Mary and her husband Steve, and grandchildren Clare, Laura, and Ian.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.  Denis worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for more than 40 years and was instrumental in opening the Johnstown office in 1975.  He was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Parish in Geistown.  An avid golfer, he was a member of Windber Country Club.  Friends received 3-7 PM Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held.
