David M. Taylor

Taylor, David M., 60, of Mineral Point, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2013 at Latrobe Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on December 5, 1952 in Johnstown. Son of John and Doris (McMullen) Taylor. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John Daniel Taylor and Lawrence McDowell and father-in-law, Albert E. Wachs. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Geraldine R. (Wachs) Taylor; siblings, Raymond (Diane), East Taylor Township, Kimberly Taylor-Wolf, Chapin, SC, Doris (Ed) Kalinyak, East Taylor Township, Richard McDowell and Ronald McDowell both of Johnstown; mother-in-law, Velma G. (Smay) Wachs, Johnstown; sisters-in-law, Diane Taylor, Johnstown and Opal (Richard) Gary, East Taylor Township; brothers-in-law, Denny (Tammy) Wachs, Niles, OH, Albert (Annette) Wachs Jr., Dunlo, and Russell (Robin) Wachs, South Fork and numerous nieces and nephews. David was a truck driver all his life and retired from Teamsters Local # 110. He was a member of Mineral Point United Methodist Church. David enjoyed working around his house, especially working in his yard. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, brother and friend. At David’s request there will be no public viewing. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Dunlo United Methodist Cemetery. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. The family suggests contributions be directed to the family in C/O Geraldine in memory of David.
